We are primary and dependents. None of us have had any movement at all these 2 years.

Have pre-approvals / appointments started being issued after completion
of this documents update?
we were thinking appointment will start raining after 15th Jan , but no luck so far
Remember this ‘recovery plan’ is first focused on those applicants that are yet to have their biometrics. In order to do that, these applicants need to refresh their expired documents on the portal. No refresh means no eligibility to receive an appointment. Many on the forum are still contacting their lawyers and possibly in the long process of procuring documents from the country of residence, country of birth, etc. AIMA is ‘waiting’, the ball is in the applicant’s court

Many applicants have also updated the documents and are still waiting. AIMA on the other hand has never been on the waiting side.

I’m a Dec’22 applicant waiting for biometric appointment.
My status is showing “Aguarda Analise” awaiting analysis. Do I still need to update the documents??
This is really confusing as my lawyer says the said status doesn’t require to submit updated documents right now.
When did u or ur lawyer last submit updated documents? Or maybe did u or them press submit without uploading updated documents in the recent past? Did u or ur lawyer on ur behalf receive any mail from AIMA regarding recent changes? 21 and 22 applicants awaiting pre-approval seem to require submit the documents again on portal and that is how the status is showing for majority of them.
My lawyer submitted the documents together with the application in Dec’22 only.
No email received on this from AIMA and status is still showing awaiting analysis.
However, i have now submitted a lawsuit couple of days before, awaiting outcome. May be I’m asked to update documents when they proceed further on my application.
Even chaos theory doesnt apply to workings of AIMA. It alone is governed by randomness.
Today I had a biometrics appointment and my status has changed to transferred. What does it mean?

It usually means you’ve been approved by them and transferred for card issuance. You should hear something very soon!

Good to see the new process skipping Stage 3 is working! Curious to see how long it takes for the card to be actually issued. I’ve seen some lawyers mention “soon after” but haven’t seen a precise timeline for it.
I had my biometrics appointment (as a result of a lawsuit) on Jan 6, and my status also shows as Transferred. I don’t think I am approved since the AIMA agent who took our biometrics (when asked) said ‘I can expect approval in 3 months, maybe faster. The next step was the checking of documents.’
John - my kids and I had our biometrics on Jan 6 (also with lawsuit), received approval and request to pay 3 days later. We paid the next day (4th day after biometrics). So things might be moving much faster than 3 months.

Hi @barbri , yes I remember reading your updates, that’s really a fast outcome! Just out of curiosity, were you the primary applicant or had the primary applicant already been approved?
Primary already has been approved and has card. This round was for dependents and maybe that’s why it was also quicker.
A question for the people updating their documents: does anyone know if the 30-90 day timeframe refers to being notified about the biometric appointment or the actual appointment itself?
It’s unclear whether the 30-90 days only covers the notification or if the biometric appointment itself is scheduled much later. Many people are delaying updating their documents to avoid missing their appointment in case AIMA schedules it as soon as next month. Additionally, clear timelines are essential since many need to plan their travel to Portugal 3-6 months ahead.

People who updated their profile since the beginning of this year, hasn’t notified yet.Waiting for action which was promised to be happen 15 th of January.
