I received an email this morning from IRN stating that my status has been changed to “Verificado”. I know this means verified, but what does it mean according to the process?
How long ago did you submit?
Technically it is just one of the stages in the online submission process before its finally finalized.

My experience closely matches Relative 1. What kind of reference numbers has Relative 2 got? IRN-xxxxx/2026 or yyyyy/26 or both?
Hi. Relative 1 now has both. Relative 2 has IRN-xxxxx/2026 format only.
We applied in December 2025.
What company did you do the language course with?
this first one was with LUSA ( they DO NOT offer an official PLA certificate). Do NOT use LUSA. Now we are with EduSetPT and they have been amazing to work with and are very legit.

So today I got an email from IRN that says “Finalizado”. Surely it’s not all done? We only submitted in December 2025?

Your online part is done, and the offline part will be started with a new ‘tracking number’ and 4 more stages to go.

When in December? I applied on 20 Dec and yet no Finalizado or consultation code.
…also do you know which IRN location is working your file?
I think it was near the beginning of December, our lawyer did the online application.

Data point. Online applications submitted mid December 2025, assigned to Arquivo Central do Porto. Just received the código de consulta for both applications.

If someone has the approximate submission number for a nationality app submitted recently, is it possible to compare the submission number to one submitted Jan 1 2026 to know exactly how many online applications have been submitted to date?
So if your lawyer filed for you, I’m guessing you mean your lawyer received the email from IRN?
Also they should have received a proof of submission after filing that says where it was sent. Usually Porto for lawyer submissions.
Would be useful to know. Mine was sent to Porto in October and is still ‘in processing’.
I submitted in Nov '25 online via lawyer and got my tracking number and process number this week. Although my submission no. has is in the 2025 batch, my process nunber ends in '26. I’m in with ACP Porto.

Did you get an email with Finalizado prior to receiving the process number ? And when you check the online for status does it show 4 steps ?
