I am doing a bit of research into the GV by property route. I am interested in commercial properties in the Lagos/Faro/Algarve region and have come across some airbnbs for sale. I understand for the property to be eligible for GV purposes that it would be a commercial property above €400K or €280k requiring rehab. I am less keen on a hotel investment a la Mercan etc.
I just wanted to confirm that an existing airbnb is indeed considered commercial.
How would I go about double checking that the property is eligible?
I would also love to hear from anyone who has purchased commercial property in these regions after the 2022 change.
