# How to activate your PostaPay card in 3 steps

I’ve never heard of PostaPay before, but what are the benefits of using this particular company and card instead of for example [Revolut](https://nomadgate.com/go/revolut)?

You’re generally much better off with something like [Revolut](https://nomadgate.com/go/revolut)—it’s mostly if you need an account with a Maltese IBAN for whatever reason. I’ve written a bit more about it in this article: [https://nomadgate.com/easy-maltese-bank-accounts/

I discovered recently that the Blackcat account also has a Maltese IBAN number, so it’s getting easier.

What I find interesting and a bit puzzling about the Postapay account is there is no mention of any maximum cash limit that can be paid into it. Most banks allow 300 - 500€ max. Though [Malta](https://nomadgate.com/malta/) is still very much a cash society - at least compared to Sweden and UK.
