I applied may 31 for my Portuguese Golden Visa renewal. It’s now been 62 days. It’s still being evaluated. But I want to use the health system. Also, I’m flying out of Schengen in a little while. I’d like not to overstay my visa. Anyone been able to roll theirs over their temporary? How?
Once your residence card expires, you fall into a legal limbo. There’s no simple way to extend the validity of the old card, which is what I presume you mean by “rollover”.

Be aware that before you receive your new residence card, flying in and out of Schengen from Portugal may be a very different experience than via another Schengen country.
Here is my experience. Today I called the contact number on the AIMA portal. A nice woman answered in English, after I selected it. I explained that while my renewal application was being evaluated, the 60 day temporary had expired. I had seen that it could be rolled over while waiting for the renewal process. She said the original was still valid. Now that I reread it I see-stupid me-that’s what it says. It’s automatically renewed. I went to the local health center this AM and they saw my titulo de residencia was expired but I showed them the receipt from my application and they accepted that. About flying in and out on an extended visa: my chinese wife was told she had to enter Schengen in Portugal. She flies Emirates who fly into Lisbon and hasn’t had a problem.
Sorry, if you apply to have your expired golden visa titulo de residencia renewed you get a 60 day temporary receipt; i.e., a temporary visa, while AIMA is evaluating it.. If you haven’t gone this path this may not make sense to you.

I was issued with a 60 day QR code when I went through online renewal more than 60 days ago, I’m still using the same QR code to enter / leave PT without any issue.
My reading of the ’ 60 day’ period is that you MAY renew the QR code, but that doesn’t mean you have to, or the previously issued code is invalid.

Nos termos do n.º 7 do artigo 78.º da Lei n.º 23/2007, de 4 de julho, na sua redação atual, o recibo de pedido de renovação de autorização de residência produz os mesmos efeitos do título de residência durante um prazo de 60 dias, renovável.
Nestes termos e para todos os efeitos legais, o recibo do pedido de renovação de autorização de residência é válido até à decisão final daquele pedido, podendo o período inicial de 60 dias ser renovado automaticamente por idênticos períodos sucessivos.
Até decisão final do pedido, deverá fazer-se acompanhar do título de residência, objeto do presente pedido de renovação, bem como deste recibo comprovativo.
