I moved to Madeira on March 21st 2020. The process of obtaining all the relevant paperwork took some effort to complete. The residence and fiscal issues are in place and now enjoying the benefits.

I will set up a business doing this for clients wishing to relocate to Madeira I have had enough of retirement
