# Openning a EU account for a Portogeeze citizen but non resident

HI there

I reside in South Africa but have a Portuguese passport. I want to open an  
EU or a Portuguese bank account with minimum bank charges and a user-friendly online capability. Can you please recommend where I should begin ( I don’t speak Portuguese so unable to navigate most Portuguese banking websites) I would also need to open the account remotely…

Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated
