Hello! I’m so grateful for this community. I am starting the GV process and one of the first steps I’m undertaking is finding the right SDIRA custodian in order to make use of the IRA option for the [Optimize](https://nomadgate.com/go/optimize-fund?source=forum) fund. I’ve searched through some of the threads here but can’t find an answer to whether establishing a **trust** is necessary for the SDIRA investing in the [Optimize](https://nomadgate.com/go/optimize-fund?source=forum) fund. Is anyone currently going through this process and willing to share their experience? Do you happen to have a custodian you appreciate working with? Since the IRA option would save us a significant amount in taxes, it’s a necessary part of this, but I just want to understand why I’m being told a trust is also required when an LLC is not and they’d be serving the same function. Thanks so much for this! I read through that post twice before posting here, and now I’ve read it a 3rd time, and it does discuss quite a lot, but not the most substantive question I’ve posed here. **Is a trust account specifically required for SDIRA investing?** ---

Thank you for this! I ended up connecting with equity trust and it should be relatively straightforward to get it done with them! They don’t require opening a trust account right now!
