The [PM’s PSD] party agreed to hold hearings to hear experts on the matter, provided the process extends only until the third week of September.

According to Social Democratic MP António Rodrigues, the goal is to have the matter resolved before the State Budget debate begins, scheduled for early October. [by 10-October, to be exact]

If that schedule still holds - and yes I know the forest fire fracas flared up in the interim - then the time for talking and studying this issue is soon drawing to a close.
