Hi. I’m Canadian, but haven’t lived in Canada since 1971. I lived in the UK for 20 years, then in many other countries, including the Middle East and Asia, and have been retired in Chiang Mai for 15 years. My husband, who is Lao, and I now plan to apply for a D7 visa and move permanently and full-time to Portugal, as it is an appealing liberal democracy and attractive in many ways that Thailand is not, though certainly this country has its good points, too. I’ve found Nomad/Gate interesting and useful…and supportive in this daunting task.
