Curious if you proceeded with this plan and had success? My wife and I are hoping to do something similar, that is renting a place and applying for the original NHR under the premise of our Golden Visa’s (still pending) intention to move.

I’m also interested to hear how renting and applying for NHR prior to year end goes. I have heard mixed opinions from lawyers on the difficulty of applying with a Golden Visa / renting, especially if the Golden Visa investment is in a fund as opposed to a home.
