no, it has been 3 1/2 years since the initial application. honestly, I applied out of curiosity to see what date AIMA will use as the residency start date for me.

This is true. But it’s still pretty darn good that a GV holder can apply for citizenship 5 years from GV application. The additional stipulations you mention are not that onerous.
