In short, as with many AIMA initiatives, there was some success early last year with ‘new process’ applicants getting their cards within a couple months of Bios+paying… but then things fell apart 
As you’ll see in that dedicated thread above, now you’ll find ‘new process’ people waiting since last April.
That said, the bulk of 400k MI + 220k CPLP applicants have been dealt with, so AIMA is supposed to finally turn its attention to those "we left until the end, which are those that pay the most, the golden visas.”
