Awaiting Final Approval (Stage 4)

I also paid in December and no card yet. Itā€™s been almost exactly 2 months.

It took 3 months 3 days to get the card

Oh merde! Here go my travel plans for safe border crossingsā€¦

Received approval for the primary applicant earlier this week 4.5 years after application. Biometrics in Faro in Mar 2023 and a much awaited approval. Phew!

Hope to receive my card soon. Does anyone know if the passport number is mentioned in the residency card ? My passport has been updated since I applied, wonder if thatā€™s going to cause any issues.

I donā€™t see any mention of my passport number on my card. However I expect they have an electronic record, so I would still update them with the new details. Iā€™d check with your lawyer.

Do you know if your application was processed somewhere other than Faro? Did you file a lawsuit? My husband and daughter are waiting for approvals from biometrics in Faro in August 2023.

No idea where the application was processed. I did not file a lawsuit.

Husband and daughter just received their final approval! Our lawyer was a few days late in telling us, so it could have come through same time as yours. Faro, August 2023. No lawsuit.

Full timeline is:

Main applicant applied 31/10/21
Husband and son applied 11/21
Daughter applied 01/22
All pre-approved 05/22
Main applicant and son biometrics Feb 2023 Coimbra
Daughter and husband biometrics August 2023 Faro
Main applicant and son final approval June 2024
Cards printed July 24 and received in August 24
Husband and daughter final approval Feb 2025.

Jul 30, 2021 Research started
Oct 18, 2021 Application Submission

Is there any notification about printing cards?

What do you mean?

Finally approved, no lawsuit. Due to my (clears throat) activism on this platform I am only showing the months, but here is my timeline:

December 2021: application
March 2023: pre-approval
June 2023: biometrics not in Lisbon
Feb 2025: final approval (ā€œtransferredā€), paid DUC
Status: waiting for card. Lawyer says 60-90 days.

Still appears my Turkey passport will come within the next 4-6 weeks, which would mean my entire Turkey process from beginning to citizenship would be encapsulated inside the time between Portugal biometrics and residence card receipt

60-90 days for your card!! Thatā€™s a long time. Last summer ours took about a month.

Can you share where you did your biometrics?

Given what Iā€™ve said on this forum, I shouldnā€™t say anything to further expose my identity

Hi Selina,
We paid DUC on 6th of November and card received on 3rd of February.
So, yes, it can take up to 3 months.(Biometrics in Porto)
Since then, I have been waiting DUC references for my family so I can pay their DUC but my lawyer say there is a problem with the system (what a surprise!)and she canā€™t create DUC references.

I knew there had been isolated accounts of them taking a long time, but Iā€™d hoped this wasnā€™t the norm!

My application was submitted While we are waiting patiently
Application date: 23rd Decā€™21
Pre- Approval : 5th April 2023
Bio: 12th Juneā€™2023
Is there a possibility of application rejection ?

The acceptance rate is about 96%. Unless thereā€™s anything weird about your application or your investment, you should be confident.

If you did your biometrics in Lisbon, that is extremely slow moving of the final approval. Last year, they only passed final approval of Aug-Nov 2022 biometrics and now it seems that they are dealing with Jan-Mar 2023 biometrics.

And also there was a news these days that AIMA is now putting CPLP as their priority, not GV as they said in Januaryā€¦ so our GV group stuck again.

Care to share your sources for this, @Daisyyyy ?
