Awaiting Final Approval (Stage 4)

You can look into Lisbon tracker in this forum.

Your timeline is barely ahead of mine, and I just got approval this month — wouldn’t worry yet.

Also, I wasn’t Lisbon biometrics.

Thank you. My Bio was in Lisbon. That might be the bottleneck as I read in this forum.

Ah ok, you mean Chris’ tracker - think this is the most recent: Awaiting Final Approval (Stage 4) - #2297 by cj807

As for CPLP becoming AIMA’s “new new” priority (GVs were so last month), I posted about that here:

From the table it seems like cards are taking between 3 to 4 weeks to 3 months to be printed these days. I know I might be asking a question to which the answer is obvious, but is there anyway to check in on them or to put pressure on the entity doing the printing to get them done. It seems like its just one period of waiting to another period of waiting.

Is there an updated version of this for the last few people who have gotten approval?

Has anyone gotten their biometrics in Porto last year? How long did it take for you?

Even after you get your card, you’ll be waiting to renew it, then waiting to apply for citizenship, then waiting for the citizenship to come through, so yes, “one period of waiting to another period of waiting” is an apt description of PGV :upside_down_face:

I know one family did bios in Porto and here are their timeline for your reference:
May 2023 Biometrics
Dec 2023 Main applicant got final approval
Feb 2024 Main applicant received card
May 2024 Dependents got final approval
Jul 2024 Dependents received cards
So don’t be worry if you did bios in Porto, so far Porto is the fastest place to process final approval.

My lawyer received today ARI cards for main investor and family members.

I’m glad for you, Rawad, but I am seriously pissed at AIMA for continuing to bypass people who applied in 2020 or before and who finished biometrics more than 2 years ago. Speaks extremely poorly about the integrity and competence of the Portuguese state.

Thank you Maxine and I can hear you regarding the unfairness in the process. I shared earlier that from my perspective, those who want to get their cards in a fast way, a lawsuit seems the only way. Hope the new process at AIMA will expedite the full journey for all GV applicants.

Hi may I ask, who were your lawyers? Also, what was the cost? Thanks

I am working with citizenship Invest: Me Sara Oliveira and honestly we are very pleased with her responsiveness and professionalism. Cost of lawsuit for full family was 2500Euros

Thank you. Would very much appreciate her contact details.

Any update of your final approval?

Hi Daisy, I was asked to submit proof of visiting Portugal for my biometrics and submit documents proving that my investments are still there in Portugal. I have madethe submissions on. 17th of February. Now the wait continues.

Looking for your good news then.

Application submitted November 2021. I did my biometrics January 2023, my application on ARI shows as accepted. No residence card received yet despite filing a lawsuit. Anyone in a similar situation?
