Interesting as I asked my lawyer about processing time vs expiring documents and was told that “the valid date is the biometric date”. Which I read as if they are valid at the time of your appointment, they don’t “expire/time out” while SEF twiddles it’s thumbs
There are no official validty requirement of Declaration of Fund Transfer and Cert of Fund Participation Unit Ownership which was submitted initially and same was submitted during bio. Perhaps they were issued close to two year ago and SEF worry I divested my fund units during its delays.
This is quite idiotic. Refreshing documents take a lot of time, effort and money. Particularly if you have a family applying with you. I regret doing the GV everyday.

I got just got my final approval notice today and paid the $5812.12!
I hope that my lawyer DHLs my card to me before my next trip. No more 90/180!

Congrats! Further updated below: I guess we’ll start seeing the July batch come through very soon. 10 months seems to be the wait time out of Lisbon.

Good news everyone. My family received approval, we made payment and now waiting for card issuance. I had my card already after biometrics done in Porto in Nov '21 and approval in May '22. Biometrics finally got opened on short notice for wife and kids in Lisbon in early July '22…final approval came through just end of April '23. I know what it’s like watching these updates and thank you to CJ807 for keeping track of the “paint drying” process. I suggest everyone keep fingers crossed and hope our update gives everyone a sense of progress happening. As the primary investor my approval may also have simplified the secondary approvals for my family. See you in Portugal!
