Hi everyone.
Just wanted to update you all with the news that I have received confirmation from my lawyer of my final approval! Hopefully this is a positive indication that things are not entirely stuck, and there’s still a little movement happening.
I am the Primary Applicant and my timeline is:
Application: 14 December 2021
Pre-Approval: 18 January 2023
Biometric Appointment: 27 April 2023 ( FARO Office)
Final Approval : 30 July 2024
DUC Paid: 31 July 2024
I did not file a lawsuit.
So now we await notification of GV approval (by family re-unification) for my husband. His Biometric appointment (also in Faro) was on 1 August 2023, so co-incidentally a year ago today.
I’ll revert with further timelines for his GV approval, and receipt of my card, as soon as there is more to report.
In the meantime, good luck to everyone still waiting for Final Approvals.

Great to see some movement in Faro! My husband and daughter did their biometrics there in August 2023.
Fwiw I sued but did biometrics in faro, with my wife, April 12 23, and a few weeks ago got my duc but not my wife’s. Won my lawsuit but maybe they’re looking at faro in general now anyway

It has seemed in past few months that they look at a batch in a certain location. I wonder if they’ve passed files to a central team.

Congratulations!! It is interesting… I applied in October '21 and had biometrics in Faro in March '23 - but still nothing here…
I guess they are not working in order of application date or biometrics date even without lawsuits! Maybe they are just pulling a random file out of the pile and working on it!

Biometric Appointment: August 18, 2023 ( Faro)
Final Approval : July 25, 2024
DUC Paid: July 31, 2024
That was my timeline so far. But not sure how much longer i have to wait for Temp Resident card!
I did produce summon to SEF inaction.

Hi Folks, quick question. Does the status change from “Pago” to something else when they order the card production ?

Mine simply says “Transferred” even though my cards have been issued.
Just as an update, my lawyer tells me that AIMA told them, that all Faro cases were transferred to Portimao and they are being processed there. And with the transfer, the dates of processing have been somewhat mixed up.

Got my adult dependents also got approved on July 22nd 2024.
Now just waiting for the card delivery.

My family and I did our biometrics in Lisbon on 10 Oct 2022.
Still waiting for final approval. Is this normal?

Yes, they basically stopped at the Sep 2022 cohort and are only focusing on people who filed court cases, at least for now.

this isn’t true , I did get my and family’s approval , my card is also arrived but still waiting on my family cards, we did our biometrics on 10th Oct 2022 in Lisbon and I didn’t file any court case. The cards after paying DUC is taking 2.5 months to be delivered , go figure why…

I’m 22 Oct 2022 Lisbon Biometrics and am also still waiting. My wife has not had her biometerics yet which is also concerning.

EXactly my case as well! Seems weird but good to hear some movement. Now its a matter of chance really, who gets picked

This is just wild.
Portimāo has not processed our cases after biometrics (February, 2023) and final approval & payment (Oct, 2023).
We are still waiting for our cards with no updates.
Meanwhile more cases are being shuffled there?
I’m afraid that we have entered the era of hot potato where every time you inquire about your case, they can say its with that “other department”. That way not even lawsuits can deliver any results.
