As I mentioned already in another thread referring to IAServices, the wholesale ābanā on GV for Russians seems to be temporary and also not yet reflected in the law.
So one obvious option for you would be to ādo nothingā and just wait and sit it out until the current ban is lifted. However there is a risk that PT would actually materialize this ban into the law, making an exclusion for a certain nationality.
Hence the other option for you would be to obtain an alternative āfast-trackā CBI, and then re-apply for PT GV based on that new nationality. That would require some extra investment, but it may not be a bad option after all depending on your main driver for GV in the first place (i.e. whether you are mainly driven by the āpushā rather than the āpullā factor).
In fact, I am myself pursuing both routes in parallel at the moment, but luckily not due to a nationality constraint.
There is a change of status on the ARI portal - to āCandidatura Aceiteā. Whoever set up the application -eg your lawyer- gets a donotreply email: āInformamos que, em x-x-xxxx, foi admitida a candidatura de Autorização de ResidĆŖncia de Investimento (ARI) a [your namexxxxxxxxxxx]ā¦ā.
Which I never received for some reason⦠Neither for myself, nor for my dependants.
And yes, I did set up my own application on the SEF portal, no lawyer involved.[quote=āOnward, post:133, topic:45298, full:trueā]

I can now confirm that in my case my lawyer did get the email of pre approval. It just did not come to me also (even though I have Portal access). My lawyer sent me a screenshot of the email he received.
Yes. You would think if there was no lawyer, then the message would go directly to you.
But then again, you would also think both the individual and lawyer would be notified as well.
Hi @emailtoasifali , seems that SEF has only notified those who have received the pre-approval (online) in the first quarter 2021. Yesterday we have received some notifications from SEF. So things might be moving forwardā¦
My lawyers inform me that SEF are reviewing new applications made in early Nov, so hopefully they will rapidly get to 30 Nov applications so you can get pre-approval.
@DumontdosSantos - Good to know that SEF appointment for biometrics may be moving forward!
