Golden Visa Update: Progress, Legal Stability, and What Lies Ahead

I can’t agree more with this statement, I’ve been in the system since 18th century  and I can’t recall how many

  • this time we will make it
  • this will be it
  • AIMA will take care of all of SEF’s shortcomings
  • the new online application system will crack it, process time will be halved
  • with AI boosted analysis all backlog will be gone in 60 seconds etc etc…

Ok I should not be overtly cynical but there is a concrete track record which one cannot ignore..

So I think if there is one direction one has to listen, it is applying as soon as possible so that there is at least the legal ground to fight for being grandfathered by the current rules - 5 years, but even that might be an uphill battle.

Never the less, waiting in this game only means going back in the que that already has become too long.

I would add 2-3 more years during 10 years for the renewal process. In order to get 10 years of physical cards, GV needs to renew 4 times. Optimally speaking, each renewal takes 6 months without hiccup. Hence the total time would be realistically 18 years. Just pray God Allah and Big Budda for that!!!

Luckily the gaps between cards are not excluded by the proposed law. Only the gap before the first card.

Luckily? :)))
