hi Zach, Thank you for your message. To be clear, you do need a valid card while applying for citizenship. Anyone/ any lawyer can submit the citizenship application for you. But since it’s taking more than 1 year to have the citizenship approved. It is most likely you will need to renew at the 6th year point.

If this is the case, extension of the fund tenor is essential. Anyone has an insight from your lawyer?
