Maybe that’s the reason…
It does NOT work!
Went there on the first day. They only issue 3 in one go. If you already have Nif and now want to have other two, they do not issue.
It must be 3 in one go. Genius as always!
Wow
So who are the target customers of this service? Local babies would have received the Utente number in the hospital (I assume). Economic immigrants (GV holders included) who show up with residency cards would already have gotten NIF numbers before residency cards. So only refugees and citizens from other EU countries?
It is for new-comers. You need to be 100% fresh and 100% green to get this 3 in one go. Also, for GV the dependents are not required to have Nif. So for some reasons, now they want to live in Portugal, they are 100% fresh and green and qualified to get all 3 in one go.
I know that I said it ealier, but I’d like to repeat again: Portuguese authorities are geniuses!
But the dependent would need to obtain a residency card first?
This would be a good reason for GV dependents to not get NIFs at the beginning of a GV application.
When I came to the location, they needed only passport. But it was on the 1st day. Nothing guaranteed in Portugal.
The Portuguese authorities have great ideas but always, the execution is lacking…
