I have gotten interested in the Portuguese Golden Visa through investing in funds such as the Blue Crow fund. But I am stumped about one question I have: will IRS consider these funds to be PFICs?
I am not a CPA but I do know that the tax treatment of funds considered to be PFICS (passive foreign investment companies) is more complicated than the usual treatment of USA mutual funds. If anyone knows whether these funds are considered PFICs, Iād appreciate any information you have.
