Said like a supply chain professional.
Final Approval received, for primary applicant.
Deets: (Timeline DB has been updated)
- Applied 23 Dec 2021
- Biometrics 7 June 2023 - Coimbra
- Final Approval 10 Oct 2024
- DUC to be paid 6045.20âŹ
- No lawsuit filed
Card supposedly available in a couple months. Weâll see. Spouse DUC to be paid after my card is issued.
Congrats on final approval. Our timeline was similar mid 2021 to late 2024 without lawsuit. Is there anymore clarity on the backdating of the timeline to fulfill the 5 year requirement? I remember discussions of different scenarios.
Congrats. Coimbra is moving through their backlog it seems! Good to hear.
I saw someone say that their lawyer had said theyâd had citizenship applications approved based on the new timeline. That must have been misunderstood as citizenship approvals take much longer - discussion with the poster suggested maybe their lawyer meant the letter from AIMA confirming 5 years from application. Either way, it sounds positive.
That would be great indeed! Even if 5 years from pre-approval or biometrics it will be great news. I wonder if it will be finalized any time soon.
yeah, TBH from the timeline DB, I thought there were a few others ahead of me. So, this was an unexpected surprise.
I suspect lots of people donât update the timeline.
I paid my DUC on August 20 and have not received my card yet. I have received two emails from AIMA, one saying
âInforma se que o titulo encontra- se em emissaoâ on Sept 19
followed by the other saying
âO titulo encontra-se emitidoâ on October 21
So it seems imminent. #waitforit
So, Coimbra is on a roll - my wifeâs application was finalized today.
Details (timeline DB was updated)
- Applied 23 Dec 2021
- Biometrics 18 July 2023
- Final Approval 16 Oct 2024
- DUC to be paid 6045.20âŹ
- No lawsuit filed
Iâm gonna go buy a Euromillions lottery ticket while things are going so well.
Congrats! Do you have access to you SEF account? Is yes, could you please check - did your status change? Is information regarding emission of the card somehow indicated there? We also paid DUC, but all emails are being sent to the lawyer, so I do not know the status of emission of the cards((
Status shows as
âTransferido SIISEFâ
IIRC, it used to say âapplication acceptedâ
Thank you! We also have this status, it has been changed after final approval. Itâs a pity that it is not possible to check the fact of issuing the card((
Iâm in same boat, all emails are going thru lawyer so not able to check online without asking them for a screen shot (apparently they have many clients under same user account)
the status online never changes after it gets to the âTransferido SIISEFâ (which it does upon the final approval).
So all the subsequent steps youâd need to track/push manually.
While Iâm happy for you guys who did biometrics in Coimbra, Iâm rueing about my own fate. I had an appointment in Coimbra which was mysteriously cancelled, which I found out at the venue! While my lawyer was able to convince them itâs their fault, i got an appointment the following day but in Lisbon! This was in Jan '23đ
I did my bio February 2024 on an island called Ponta Delgada, anyone else? Seems like an unpopular location and Iâm worriedâŚ
So I will post this in Stage 5 and stage 4, since I seem to be in a sort of limbo (shocking, I know) between the two stages and I want to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
Here is my timeline:
My initial application: May 2021
Parentsâ initial application: July 2021
Spouseâs initial application: September 2021
Biometrics: Lisbon - November 7, 2022
Final approval: ~October 4, 2024
I did not file a lawsuit. My issue is that my lawyer tells me that now âwe need to wait until they notify us if they need any further documents or if we can issue the DUC for the GV concession.â
I responded that my understanding was that AIMA would request any additional documents before issuing final approval, and that other people approved after me had already been issued their DUC for payment.
My lawyers responded to say that âAIMA, by law can ask for documents and proofs at any point in the process, for example your expired passport, they can ask for a full copy of it, usually they ask the FBI criminal record and the new passport biometric page notarized copy.â
It has now been 3 weeks since my status switched from âapplication pendingâ to "transferred,â and I am concerned that my lawyers might be missing something here. Has anyone else experienced a similar delay in their lawyer being able to issue the DUC after receiving final approval?
Please note that I have access to my online AIMA account and when I go to the payment page, there is nothing suggesting I can create a DUC (some posts in the Stage 4 forum suggested that I might be able to create my own DUC after receiving final approval).
Thanks in advance for anyone being able to share similar experiences.
I received final approval two months ago and then my DUC payment request was one week later. That said, I paid my DUC on August 20 and still have not received the card. Nor has my wife had her biometrics scheduled yet.
For reference, I was October 2022 Lisbon Biometrics so you are right behind me.
I had the same situation where I could not generate the DUC after the final approval.
Had to chase everybody I could reach out to, including my lawyer, SEF/AIMA, including their individual employees, their relatives, pets etc
It was resolved in a few weeks.
I will not comment on your lawyer though
