Looks like approvals are still for those who filed lawsuits, any progress for any approvals without lawsuits for those who did biometrics in Lisbon? Last I heard was for someone who did biometrics on Jan 18, 2023

Im happy to send it but I can’t honestly say that they have been aggressive advocates on my behalf. Let me know if you still want to contact them.

Very similar situation here as well. Applied in Dec’21 and Bio in Jun’23. My lawyers at CCA have been very quiet on the matter.

We did bio’s in Lisbon March 2023 and no lawsuit. Received approval a couple of weeks ago ( January 2025) and now waiting for card. Original filing date was mid October 2021.

You’re so lucky! Most January 2023 Lisbon biometrics without lawsuits are still waiting. Hope we are able to hear some updates in this month.

I think they are going by filing date not bio date.

I think they are random. I knew someone got final approval end of November 2024, biometric date on beginning of Jan 2023 in Lisbon office, filing date November 2021. Anyway, hope AIMA will finish all 2021 applicants before June.

I had my biometric at 22 January 2025 thanks to lawsuit. I had experienced new process and paid card fees. My status is transferred. It seems this new process will not bring any development in terms of speed.

I filed in Oct 2021 and still nothing. Biometric in Lisbon Jan 2023. I originally thought they would go by filing date when they made the announcement they would review files chronologically but it appears not to be the case.

My lawyer said it’s kinda of random now, and we have nothing to do just keep waiting… finger crossed

Oh wow! Congratulations! Now I’m worried as to what has hapenned to my application!

I am desperately hoping that you get news soon, as our dates are almost identical. Lisbon, no lawsuit

I asked the question of an immigration attorney through Expacity of which date AIMA was using for chronological review of GV applications. His name is Vasco Barreira and he is a partner and attorney at SBPS Legal. I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable and responsive.

Here is his answer:" … unfortunately, AIMA is not processing applications chronologically. All applications that had Lawsuits are being prioritized. Furthermore, AIMA is also allocating more staff to the Recovery program (announced in December 2024), in order to process applications that are in an earlier stage and schedule the respective appointment. Consequently, applications that had already their appointments are being left to the end and the processing time has not decreased yet."

Clearly this is not good news for those of us who thought 2021 applications and January 2023 biometrics were next to be processed.

Thanks for this information.

Although we are still seeing final approvals coming through for biometrics some time ago, with no lawsuit, so I’m not sure there’s evidence that that is accurate.

On the contrary, transferred means your card has been approved - I think it means transferred for printing. You should be notified of your final approval imminently. That’s a pretty swift improvement in time from biometrics to final approval.

Solid news. I have my residency card (since December) and wife and son are both paid for and pending. So assume 2-3 more weeks. We started in March of 23. Law suit march 24 (I was one of the first), biometrics august 24 (could have done late April but had to get tripped planned) and then 12 weeks of “pending”.

Congrats, we are almost on the same time line.
We did our bio on 6th of September 2024, DUC paid on 6th of November 2024. I have been waiting for my card since then, lawyer said in 2 months I will get it but it is delayed, still waiting.

I was informed by my lawyer today that I have to submit my travel details for Biometrics in 2021 and a statement from my bank tgat my investment is still there.
I’m hoping that it is a good sign!
