Awaiting Final Approval (Stage 4)

That’s amazing!! Congrats!!

I did my biometrics in Lisbon 6th July 2022, but still haven’t gotten any notice unfortunately :frowning: Does anyone know if that can happen where slightly later (but same month) applicants can get approval first? If it doesn’t really happen, maybe there’s an issue with my docs or something.

@rogergan68 When you got the approval did the status on your portal change from “Application Accepted” to something else?

Generally, things seem to go approximately in order but there is several weeks of fuzzing either way for pre-approvals and I assume biometrics as well

I do not have access to the Portal myself, but i assume it changes. Therefore only my lawyer can generate the payment DUC.

Congrats Tommy that’s really great news on your final approval! Must be such a relief! Hope it will be smooth sailing from here on, that the permits duly arrive in due course, that renewals are still on automatic, etc etc.

Hoping ours will come through in the next 2-3 months (did biometrics early March '23 in Portimao).

Porto seems to be firing on all cylinders as I saw there were some other final approvals recently coming through from Porto.

Anyone with news from Portimao? My lawyer had said (back in March '23) that Portimao were then on a 3-6 months timeline for final approvals. I have just reached 3 months since biometrics. Fingers crossed we don’t have to wait more than another 3 months or so.

Hello,

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what does column 3 in this table mean? I presume that it’s saying ‘months to card’ as per the column heading ‘Months to C’, but the numbers don’t seem to make sense, e.g. 5,7 or 4,3 etc?

Apologies if it’s obvious to everyone except myself!

I assume it’s the European use of the comma instead of the decimal point. So that’s 5.7 and 4.3

I thought of the European decimals but it still doesn’t add up because there are numbers input into that column even where no card has been received (ie where there’s a 0 in the subsequent column.). I assume in column 4 - 1 means card received and 0 means not received?

Isn’t it just how long they’ve been waiting, up to the point the table’s author last had an update from them?

Can I ask how much is the card issuance fee now ? It seems like they increased it in March 2023 since they provide an excellent service.

Service quality increases year over year, therefore the fee. It is 5,812.12Euro.

We’re lucky it’s not a per-diem rate

To be fair, there should be two per-diem rates: application custodian rate and reviewing rate!

Maybe that’s it ….

@rogergan68 That would be “Tax payments” (“Impostos”) that you’d need to select for DUC on the web version.

@prishakira Yes, the status changes to “Transferred” (“Transferido SIISEF”) upon final approval.

Table updated and deleted in earlier posts.
The Months to Card is the period waiting (a calculated difference in time in months between the last Update here and date of Biometrics).
There is a column Approval (sometimes the poster states they have been approved and have a request to pay - eg recent posters for Porto 2023 biometrics), but no card or date for card receipt is given.

Did you get it yet? There is a rule about not paying until 48 hours after notice. Maybe paying the same day glitched it. SEF payment not reflected after 2 days - #9 by ravi

I had to change my Biometrics Appointment from June 27th to June 9th, and that somehow went through. So, I’ve done that now.

Applied: Dec 21 2021
Pre-approved: Mar 15 2023
Biometrics done: Jun 9 2023

I had to wait about 1.5 hours, the lawyer went in for about 15 minutes, and then my biometrics were done in less than five minutes.
