Basicaly the title, we no longer live in canada and spent couple of years there on work permit, how do we obtain the police clerance we need to apply for portugese citizenship? We are living between our country of birth and portugal, either one is fine
You need to get ink and roll fingerprinted wherever you are currently living. This will then need to be digitized with an approved company who will then send the fingerprints to Canada (I believe). There is a form that will need to be submitted to the RCMP as well. There are some businesses in Portugal and elsewhere that will do all this for you for a fee of course. I saw something in Lisbon that was around €300, though I am not confident that includes everything.
