I have just started my research but I am puzzled by the different fees quoted by consulting companies and immigration law firms. How much is the initial application with AIMA (the Portuguese governmental immigration office)? 773 Euros or 605? How about dependents? Free under 18? And over 18? Additional 83 Euros? Or full cost?
Same question regarding the fee for the residence card at the end of the application process - 7730 Euros? 6045? And what about the dependents?
I’m a bit frustrated that there is no agreement on the official government fees for these. Can anybody help?
Shouldn’t the ambiguity with respect to something as basic as fees be a reason good enough for you to abandon this lost cause. Hard earned money should not be used for speculative activities like gambling, betting and portuguese golden visa.

I think I’ve explained the fees and why you might see different amounts quite succinctly in the section about costs of the Golden Visa here.
Those fees are updated based on the latest index adjustment that happened this spring.

The fees are updated every year for inflation so you may be seeing older numbers on websites for consultants, etc. that haven’t been updated.

We asked Nisdal today which is it - 605 (as in your post and on the 2023 AIMA Taxa document) or 773. They insist it’s 773. How can this be checked independently?
The rest of my questions are clear - it’s per person regardless of age.

Last year they increased fees by about 30% but simultaneously implemented a 25% discount for “online processes” from the posted fees, which applies to pretty much everything. Thus leaving fees roughly unchanged. That may be why you’re seeing people quote different numbers.
