Any other fall 2025 applicants here? Wondering if anyone who applied October or later received biometrics appointments.
I put in my initial application on the 7th of October, and received a biometrics appointment at the end of the month for February. It was quite a surprise - I’d just finished making a “sue AIMA” calendar reminder for next October!
I’ll keep the reminder, just in case.
I uploaded my GV application in early August 2025, and I have my biometrics appointment on February 16, 2026 in Cascais. I know my application date is not in the Fall, but I decided to share it in any case…
Early September and no biometrics appointment yet. It seems as if they’ve not scheduled any more since the big appointment release at the end of October.
October 13. No appointment.
Hi everyone
Confirmação de entrega do requerimento

O seu requerimento foi entregue e será objecto de análise pela AIMA.
I have received this from my lawyer on Oct 2025 but since then still no development.
Attorney notified us that the application was registered August 20. On October 31 received notice of biometrics for primary applicant for February 20. (Aware this is outside your requested dates, but it is close…)

Has anyone taken biometrics after Oct. 2025 to renew GV and gotten their new residency card? I completed my biometrics on Sep. 26, but have not gotten my card yet. I am wondering if this is normal. Thank you for sharing your experience.
You may want to look at the renewals thread here, as they have lots of accounts for timelines:
Thank you so much. It’s exactly the information that I was looking for.
I also completed my application on Oct 7th 2025. My lawyers are saying July 2026 is a reasonable expectation. Anything that you did which you think contributed to a quick bio appointment?
Absolutely nothing unusual about my application, so far as I can tell. I went the donation route instead of investing in funds, but I’ve never heard anything to suggest that this matters to AIMA in terms of processing time. That’s just the way the wind blew that day, I guess!
