How can I remove my Portuguese tax representative?

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to remove someone as their tax representative? I am a Canadian and I had an administrator at my office sign for me to get my NIF. She would like to be removed when no longer necessary.

However I don’t really have a permanent address; I had a 6-month lease at one point however now I am just moving around Portugal on long term stays on airbnb.

  1. Create an account on the Finanças website.
  2. They mail your password to your tax representative
  3. The rep gives you the letter
  4. Logon to Finanças
  5. Input your address
  6. Remove the tax rep
  7. Update your address as needed.

Be careful with this as doing this potentially may make you a tax resident of PT. This worked positively for me as 2023 will be the first year of my 10 year NHR regime. I am a D7 visa holder and intend to eventually reach dual citizenship status after the 5 year residency ends. If you are in GV asset class I strongly advise you to consult a tax attorney before doing anything on the Financias site.
