Is there anybody on this forum who applied for renewal in July or earlier but still hasn’t received their card? If so, are you planning on filing a lawsuit or have you done so successfully? Wondering if there is a possibility that lawyers received the card, but are keeping it to themselves to rake up the lawsuit fees.
I was able to log-in back to SEF.pt website so seems that the log-in/password error has been fixed. I can’t renew now, but for others that can for Q1, you should be able to log in now.
Fwiw a comment on the inability to login:
Generally that’ll mean that the backend is down for some reason, probably maintenance, upgrades, or good old fashioned crashing. I would love to spend a day exploring their servers and see how everything is running
One guy logs into their Server (singular) once a month to see how things look. If he doesnt like it, he grabs the latest composer file from s3 (not source control) and reinstalls over the top.
Once I am back in Lisbon, do you want to try to see whom we can approach to offer some computer services? I really think they can benefit from a bit of expertise on DB and back-end. The front-end, it needs to be thrown away and re-written in something like REACT or VUE, with Twitter Bootstrap to make it platform-independent.
S3? Composer? Have you seen thing? We’re lucky if they’ve ever heard of jQuery.

Any one here whose card is expiring in April-June period? What are your lawyers doing/suggesting for renewals?
They suggest to wait until April-June.
I think the thread got a bit lost and so I’m not sure where things stand with Q1 renewals.

Hello. Just tried again to do an automatic renewal. Primary GV member. Would not allow me to do it. Let’s hope they restore this soon or I will have to join the people that are proceeding with a lawsuit against AIMA/SEF. As my lawyer advise me.
No automatic renewals on the first renewal. But that was before the automatic renewal system started. So a manual renewal at an office.
I could not renew today. My attorney also tried. She said to wait.
I am also a primary holder with a Q1 renewal and I cannot renew yet. My attorneys are chasing AIMA and also suggested that the system has been unstable and not open to all categories of residence permits. They suggested to wait also.
Fro what categories of golden visa is the automatic renewal opened?

Was the automatic renewal opened for a brief period of time in 2024 and then shut?
I don’t know of any such case
Is there any update on when renewal appointments will open for Q1 or Q2 renewals?
