Because the regulations never changed to fit the new 2-year validity in the first card, I had been hearing that the best approach was to split up those trips but that’s not super practical. It’s much easier to just spend two weeks at some point during the card’s validity period, especially if the first card comes mid-summer for everyone who has a new Q1 biometrics appointment.
I’m guessing you’re in real estate, so the renewal is into a D2, so 3 years, rather than an ARI, 2 years.
