Hey Everyone,
My name is Matt, and I’m looking to leave my native home South Africa with my wife to nomad through Europe and explore it to see whether we can make a home somewhere there.
For context, I’m an Italian dual national (finally got my passport), my wife a South African working towards her Italian Citizenship. Single income household through me for now.
I’ve never visited any European country before and its really hard to figure out where to begin.
The countries we are considering are France, Italy and Portugal, but open to other suggestions. The most important thing for me from a lifestyle perspective is to be able to walk freely and experience the country side.
I want to see the major cities, but I don’t necessarily have a need to live in them and I’m trying to consider some interesting options away from the capital.
The idea is to be able to move semi-regularly to bases where we can go and explore and experience.
My income is moderate at European standards, but it has promise to grow fairly quickly in the near future if all goes well.
I realise this is pretty vague but your recommendations/ insights would be super helpful to start putting pins on a map.
