Long term Schengen Visa based only on Net worth?

Exactly! They specially don’t care about these if you’re applying for a country which is different from your country of citizenship.

I have a 5 year multiple entry Schengen visa. The sequence of visas issued went something like this.
Several 6 month validity multiple entry visas; Travel to Schengen twice a year for several years.
2 year validity visa issued and used for 3 or 4 visits. Another 2 year validity visa issued and used several times.
Next, a 3 year validity visa was issued and also used twice a year for all 3 years.
Finally, in 2019, a 5 year validity visa was issued. This expires late 2024, and I will hope for another 5 year validity visa at next issuance.
The sequence does not correspond exactly to what was described by @anonymous69, but perhaps the regulations changed over the several years my visa issuances were done.
