I see the same date on my report. Coincidence? I don’t think so.. ![]()
My husband renewed his card directly at AIMA Cacém in October 2025, but the system still shows the old card information as completed.
Yes, I entered my husband’s last residence permit number and passport number into the system when he renewed his card in person.
Anyone have issue that requesting/receiving the code to email takes about 10 minutes but the time to enter the code is much shorter time? Therefore, it is not possible to access. Is there a solution to this?
Not having this problem. Maybe you could try another VPN.
Edit: This resolved. I repeated the process again at 4am Lisbon time and it worked fine.
So, when i enter the email on the site, it displays a message that the email was sent to me, but I don’t receive the email for a long time. So it doesn’t seem to be a VPN issue but rather something on the email server at AIMA. I speculated that the system is being overloaded with requests but if no one else has this problem…
Looking for some advice. My lawyer says that the new renewal status on the portal is not accurate and should not be relied upon.
Can anyone who has received a card recently confirm whether the date of card printing and mailing information is at all accurate?
Dependent 2: today system shows UCFE stage…Not sure if Tacit Approval has made any impact on this. I obtained Tacit Approval 3 weeks ago and sent an email as well as a registered letter to AIMA.
Could you please explain further about “obtained Tacit Approval 3 weeks ago and sent an email as well as a registered letter to AIMA”? How do you get tacit approval from AIMA? My online renewal process, which started in early April 2026, has remained unchanged ![]()
You don’t get it from AIMA, you get it from AMA via gov.pt, just type ‘tacit approval’ on gov.pt and submit.
Thank you very much
Please follow the guidance from this post:
Thank you very much. I’m trying to do it, but perhaps the system is overloaded, so I haven’t been able to do it yet.
You must have an active CMD to be able to login at all, and also possibly a VPN to be able to login from PT (I am not sure about the latter as I did it from PT proper).
I don’t know what CMD is. I saw a website asking for a phone number and PIN code, but when I entered my phone number, no code was sent to my phone. I’ve been living in Portugal for 5 years.
Hello, has anyone who has applied using this new Online ARI renewal process from Feb 2026, actually been approved and have gotten their renewed residency cards ?
I received mine today ![]()
So 5 months from start till finish.
Congratulations! Hearing that gives me hope. I renewed my online for 3 months already.
