I am considering applying for citizenship in Portugal after I finish the 5 years residence next year.
Knowledge of the language is one requirement and I have a PLA certificate to prove this but I had my lawyer certify the copy of the original. Will this certified copy be sufficient or do I need to provide the original? I was hoping to keep the original in case I needed to apply for Permanent residence instead.
The other requirements look very straightforward…
-proof of language knowledge
-proof of 5 years residence
-certified birth certificate
-certified copy of identification
-certified criminal report
-application form
Is there anything else required?
