Great question and great answer. I have applied through my lawyer in Nov ‘21. I am now waiting for the evaluation of my application. My lawyer tells me that we should apply for dependants after we have the application approved. Is that correct?
I infer from the exchange of messages, that it can be done as soon as your application is placed. Is that right?
GV application for dependants (Reagrupamento familiar) can be submitted as soon as the main GV applicant has submitted and paid the initial fee for his/her own application.
E.g. I submitted my own application on Oct 11th and the family application on Oct 18th. The DUC payment window is 48 hours and the weekends etc. hence 7 days gap.
So unless there is some unusual situation requiring you to delay your family application, your lawyer is giving you incorrect guidance,
