I am a German citizen, having left Germany in 2010 and then Switzerland in 2020. So I am no longer a tax resident in either country. Being a global traveler for decades, I have come to the preference that i would like to rotate between 3 or 4 favorite locations across Europe throughout the year (not staying longer than like 4 months in each country), and with some global travel in between. What’s your experience / advice with regard to EU authorities allowing such movements for any long period, especially given I am a German / EU citizen? Nothing to worry?
