Share your status about recent Massive biometric appointment

I’ll be in Cascais the day after you with my dependent. Hope you can share how it went. :folded_hands:

Mine is Jan 12th, spouse not yet of course. I’d love to hear from anyone with an earlier appointment in a similar situation to see if the spouse was able to get “biometric-ed”. Anyone going Jan 5/6/7? (We depart the 8th). Biometric success & failure stories would be very welcome here.

My appt is on Jan 7th in Cascais. Appt is for me, primary applicant. Atty restated the appt is just for me and since my spouse can’t attend due to work anyways, we didn’t pursue further

Will be curious to hear if others can get dependents thru though.

Main applicant appointment on January 5th. No appointment for spouse. Anyone have advice on whether or not spouse should attend? Spouse is able to travel but we don’t want to waste the trip if AIMA won’t process.

I have my own selfish reasons (likely similar to many of us) for suggesting perhaps you take your spouse and let us all know, immediately after -as in as soon as humanly possible- of course, all the details regarding whether your spouse was granted an appointment.

Honestly though, your guess is as good as anyone’s.

Appointment is January 6th, and attorney has reiterated that it’s for the main investor only. My husband is coming along because he wants to see Cascais. I’ll bring his paperwork along but I don’t expect he’ll be able to get his biometrics done at my appointment.

I am on the 6th as well. Not taking any dependents .

I’m on the 9th in Cascais. Bringing my spouse and all paperwork but not optimistic she will get biometrics too.

Good idea, you never know

My attorney said today that AIMA informed the attorneys that family members would be receiving biometric appointments in the first quarter of 2026. Has anyone heard he same from their attorney?

OK, so update from us. My wife’s appointment was today at 2:30pm in Caiscas. I am the spouse and still have not received my appointment, so I opted not to travel (which seems like it was a wise decision). So, it seems this AIMA office was particularly understaffed and behind.

My wife arrived for her appointment, accompanied by a representative from our law firm on time at 2:30 to find there were 41 applicants in line ahead of her - and the office closes at 5:00pm (and her flight back is tomorrow morning…).

At 5:00pm they had only processed less than 10 applicants in the queue and sent everyone else home and rescheduled them, except my wife and one other man who were there for the Golden Visa. So, they stayed after hours and processed them.

So, thankfully, my wife is complete! I would expect delays if your appointment is in the near future, and I don’t personally think it’s wise to bring your family member along if you don’t have an appointment for them as it seems highly unlikely they will have the capacity to squeeze them in.

That’s our update - now, just waiting for my appointment. Good luck to all of you. Keep us posted on your progress.

*** additional update from my wife *** She says for those of you who have an appointment at the Caiscas office - it is extremely small and cannot hold many people inside, so be prepared to wait several house outside, and dress appropriately for the weather.

and maybe dont plan to fly in and out in 24 hours just in case…

This is really helpful, thank you. Would you be able to update when your wife gets any information about her card being issued, too? That will just give us some information as to how long this whole thing will take.

Safer to assume they’re all like that.

I would concur with that.

Sure thing. Will do.

Nooooo… As in, during the 1st quarter they will be informed of their appointment date, or their appointment date will fall sometime in the first quarter?

Question - does your wife recall if she was asked for a refreshed copy of her FBI background report? Or any of her other documents for that matter? If so, when was her last one/s submitted?
