I’m a UK national living in Barbados and I made the mistake of creating a business in St. Vincent and having an account with a broker in the EU. I can’t access that money now unless I have a bank account and currently finding that impossible. For example the last bank was Hamilton Reserve and they are currently demanding wires of 1 million USD or more before they accept funds. It should be noted that it is widely reported they were not able to accept any monies for 1 year, which I experienced and that was due to them losing 250 million reportedly in some Sri Lanka investment. The point being even if I had 1 million I wouldn’t send to them and many of the banks in the region (Caribbean) pop up and fade away. So I’ve been scouring for some options and butting my head against a wall.
