Awaiting Final Approval (Stage 4)

https://community.nomadgate.com/t/aimas-plan-for-catching-up-with-the-ari-backlog-jan-14-2025/68524?u=korion

I talked to my lawyer yesterday and she was talking about such a meeting.
She asked me to renew documents and send it to her for re-submit. But the important point is she told AIMA committed to finish similar cases to me till June.
I did biometric on May 2023 in Lisbon!

That’s strange, AIMA was clear that this request to update documents is only for those who have not yet completed biometrics.

Anyone who already completed biometrics will still be processed the old way.

I’m just wondering for these old cases, will AIMA follow the 90-day rule to finish processing?

I think the 90-day rule they mentioned is only for the new process after they update the document online. But let’s hope they could complete these old cases in 90 days, and I just can’t believe if I still need wait for more 90 days for the final approval…

Just to note that on a separate Whatsapp group, someone reported yesterday a final approval from a Lisbon biometrics on 3rd Feb 2023, main applicant only, no lawsuit

I truly hope you will get your case resolved shortly. I finally got good news yesterday that my final approval has arrived. It took almost exactly two years (minus two days) since my biometrics in Lisbon. Hopefully your case will be processed faster if AIMA is really picking up some steam!

Best of luck, and hang in there. :slightly_smiling_face:

Congrats! Was your dependent bio on another date?

Great news! Had Bio mid March 2023 so hopefully we are close!

No, my dependent was on the same date and the same place (Lisbon). I hope her case will be resolved shortly after.

Anyone here from 2022 biometrics in Lisbon and still haven’t got approval?

I think you and @joseph.c.lapierre have both fallen through the cracks: we’ve had a couple of approvals from Jan 2023 and at least one from Feb 2023. However, it seems that files have been shipped around the country, so it’s possible that yours is no longer in Lisbon, and that may account for Lisbon biometric people getting approvals out of order.

Yes seems so. Not sure what I can do if I see no progress. Courts would have been an option but they are not so different nowadays.

At the AIMA meeting they said to e-mail them at the general e-mail address with ARI in the subject. Include your full name, DOB, and ARI application number.

First application in March 2023, family of three,
Lawsuit in September 2024, biometrics appointment provided in November 2024 (scheduled for January 17, 2025),
Today we completed the document submission, photo taking, fingerprints, and paid the fee (6045.2 per person) at AIMA Lisbon,
Hope there will be good news soon.

The total time before invited to biometrics since application DUC: 1 year 3 months 8 days
The total time since biometrics to final approval: 2 years

Total time thinking whether I should have considered other options: over 4000 hours

Hope this helps everyone who is still stuck in the endless “DO-loop”!

Excellent initiative @cj807. In a world where we have information blackout from AIMA, posts like these are a ray of hope for investors who have been waiting endlessly. My bios were done in June and hoping

Excellent news Roman!! Very pleased for you + dependent. Hope your spouse gets approval quickly too.
Nice touch adding the hours spent on this forum to your timeline (and reference to a do-loop)! I have (unfortunately) not kept track… :joy:
