What! Mine was 26 Jan 2023, and I haven’t got it! Lucky person!!!
Congratzzzz!!! What a ride!!! Over 3 years is really a challenge…but it is over now. It’s time to prepare A2 Portuguese certificate…
Did you pay with a debit or credit card? Also, was it a Portuguese card or International?
You should get there… hopefully soon!
I’m January 23, 2023, so very hopeful too!
Where can you see a view like this? I’ve tried to replicate, but to no avail
Hi Chris,
PCERoman had filed a lawsuit:
Filed a lawsuit: 05 May 2024
Won the lawsuit: 25 Aug 2024
Please update the spreadsheet accordingly since you have N in Lawsuit column.
Thanks
We paid 3 x 6045.2, two of them credit card(issued in China) and one debit card (Portuguese bank).
Thanks, fixed above
It’s my own spreadsheet, compiled from info that Lisbon bio people have posted in the groups. It’s not connected to Thomas’s database.
Ah ok, makes sense. It’s very nice to see it like that! Here’s hoping I’m in the next batch of Jan 2023 bios!!
This is great news and takes a huge worry off my mind. Thank you for posting.
We are in a similar situation - after applying mid Dec 2021 - my husband and I (I am the main applicant) have had our biometrics (Jun/Jul 2023) but our two children (now 18 and 16yrs) have yet to receive approval to make the appointment for their biometrics.
Our lawyers just recently have advised us:
- since we have already had our biometric appointments, the new AIMA notification & procedures do not apply to us.
- as our children do not yet have their appointments, they are also unaffected by these changes.
- given our case, they are suggesting filing a court claim as the new system does not account for our situation.
I am sure that we are not the only ones in this situation and would love to hear from you/others if they have had differing legal advice.
All the best with your next steps and the ongoing GV journey!
Your lawyers could file litigation, but at the same time they could write to AIMA as litigation does not preclude written communication - which confirms your continuing interest since 2021, no answer since your biometrics and lack of scheduling. The children not having biometrics comes into the category of people they want to schedule for biometrics.
If you/they write you/the lawyers should put ARI in the subject line as they instruct, and also include your full name, date of birth, nationality and the application number, which is the number that appears in the top right-hand corner of the ARI portal.
The litigation may take time, but writing to AIMA should be considered as well, particularly since they asked people to do this (with the info. above) and the results may be faster…? I get the impression that courts are jammed now.
The tricky thing is that your data will have been updated for your biometrics (and you dont want to have to redo that), but may need to be updated for the children’s biometrics- through no fault of yours!!
Our lawyers are saying the same
today my lawyer received the card, 2 weeks after the payment.
start to card in hand: 1169 days!
application: 9 November 2021
pre-approval: 19 May 2022
biometrics: 4 January 2023 (Lisbon)
final approval: 16 December 2024
card received: 20 January 2025
Did you file a suit?
no lawsuit
Congratulations. We’re very close! my application was Oct 29 2021, pre-approval May 2022, biometrics Jan 23 '23, and still waiting for final approval… Here’s hoping!
thanks! I hope you get your approval soon too. try to find out from your lawyer which office has your file, Lisbon? or some other AIMA office? my final approval came from Ponta Delgada.
