Our status has been Transferido SIISEF since March 13 2025! All fees paid but no cards yet. We had our biometrics in Porto. I have not seen anyone reporting any progress from Porto in several months.

It seems quite normal in Portuguese standarts :grinning:

When did you pay your fees after your status changed?

We paid at the time of biometrics on March 13, 2025 by debit card

My friend, consider your self lucky. Many of us has biometrics in Jan 2023 and have seen absolutely no movement.

Glad to see your status change, our old process is totally different than those who did bios in 2025, so it’s definitely a good sign for you, hope you get your final approval soon!

Later my lawyer confirmed my final approval :grinning:

At last my timeline:

Initial application: Oct 2021
Biometrics : 16 Jan 2023
Final approval : 23 May 2025
Fee paid for me: 24 May 2025

Waiting for the approvals of wife and son.

Congratulations and all the best for your family approvals. Hope we see the remaining Lisbon January 2023 cases that have been transferred to Maderia approved soon. There are 2 other people sharing the same date as yours so i guess they are next.

as a data point, my approval came from Ponta Delgada.

I’ve just noticed a change in the AIMA portal.
My status has been updated to “Transferred” — in Portuguese: “Situação do Requerimento: Transferido SIISEF.”

Based on what others have shared, I assume this means I should prepare for the DUC payment. Can anyone confirm if that’s correct? My lawyers are not responding as usual!

I have completed my bio in 2 weeks before in Braga ,and status changed to Transferred in Portuguese “Situação do Requerimento Transferido SIISEF”
on the same day , please what does this mean and what is next step ?

According to posts above it apparently means that you are approved!

My status changed to transferred sometime in Apr, but no approval emails till date. Our lawyer said that '“Transferred” indicates that AIMA has begun analysing the case. This means that the documents submitted during the appointment have been scanned and entered into AIMA’s case processing system, resulting in the case being assigned this new status.

We did our biometrics in Mar’23 in Lisbon, so I am guessing at this point we are just waiting for Jan/Feb applicants to get processed.

Did you ask your lawyer for how long he/she has been handling GV process? If it is less than 2 year, I would not blame him/her for that answer.

I started the process in late 2021 with them so hopefully they have good experience with GV :crossed_fingers:. Anyways I should double check with them again.

Also do you know after final approval, does the primary applicant receives email for generating DUC / payment or only the lawyer gets it?

My SEF (now AIMA) portal access is only with my law firm and only my lawyer received email from SEF. They generated DUC in the portal for me to pay 5800+ EUROS. It was in June 2023.

Unfortunately, only the lawyer receives the final approval email from AIMA, regardless of how the portal access was setup. I presume if there is no lawyer at all (e.g. no email entered in the legal rep field) then no one receives that email.

I see the AIMA portal myself parallel to my lawyer. When I see the “Payment” page, there is a new row in the table as following:

Has anyone faced such an issue? What does it mean? Does it mean I have to wait till the time they issue our DUCs?

I believe this means you need to generate your DUC by June 12th.
Do you see any button there that you can press and do it?

Normally the DUC is generated either by yourself or by your lawyer from within the portal. So you need to find a ‘DUC generation’ button and press it, then you get your DUC pdf and pay it (from your PT online banking) after a further 48 hours wait.
