Can I Enter Portugal with "OK to Board" Status? (I have only pre-approval)

My current situation of GV process is “waiting for biometrics”. The main applicant (my husband) got his biometrics done last year and he is waiting for the final approval and physical card. We need Schengen visa to visit Portugal. Our Schengen visa expires in June 2025 and we do not have hope about being called for biometrics since our law firm does not give us any updates. Anyways, this is another topic.

Our main problem is getting Schengen visa is a very long and costly process in here. So, we do not want to take another Schengen if it is possible to enter Portugal with the status that AIMA advises to the airlines as “OK to board”. I do know that if a person had already their biometrics they can get “OK to board”. However, I am not sure about my situation (I only have pre-approval).

Here comes my question:

Is there any people who are citizens of Schengen-requiring countries and achieved to enter Portugal with just “OK to board” status for their biometrics stage? (and which airlines?)

If it is possible we will not try to get another Schengen visa and just change our law firm and enter to Portugal with only “OK to board” when I am -hopefully- called for biometrics.

Thanks in advance.
