My partner and I are looking into the D7 visa for Portugal. Can someone confirm that passive income can be from remote jobs?
Looking at the digital nomad visa and the amount you need to earn monthly seems quite high and unrealistic so can we apply for the D7 if our income is from an employed job?

My understanding is that you cannot anymore. If you’ve got employment income, it has to be a D-8. And given the cost of housing here, the monthly amount of the D-8 probably isn’t unrealistic.
the conditions are clear, the freelance or remote jobs income are both under the D8. and thats true, the amount of income needed for the D8 is so high.
