mine has been “Awaiting Payment Confirmation” for 3 weeks now. My application was submitted the first week of September and DUC paid a few days after submission. When I asked my lawyer they told me AIMA is aware of the issue and working to solve it…
Same mine was submitted the second week in September and was paid a few days later. We are still waiting for confirmation so we can submit my spouse. Lawyers already reached out to AIMA.
Did you pay the DUC by yourself through online bank ? or pay through your lawyer? Or pay through manual setup through bank manager ?
Mine was paid through bank manager of my Banco Atlantico account.
I have the same problem. Submitted application and paid on September 18. The application was stuck in “Awaiting payment confirmation” since then.
I rushed to submit my application before the new nationality law changes take effect, but I’m losing hope that it will actually happen in time.
My lawyer said that the immigration office assured them that application would be considered “submitted” on the day they uploaded all my documents, but even my lawyer is not confident about this as this was a verbal promise with nothing in writing.
My lawyer submitted my application on September 18 and paid the fee on my behalf, but it still shows “awaiting payment.” I have a friend who submitted hers on October 5, and her lawyer also paid on her behalf. Same issue.
My lawyer emailed AIMA, but of course there’s no reply. Going to the local office didn’t help either.
He says there’s nothing he can do right now, and I believe him because there really isn’t much anyone can do at this point.
Are any of your lawyers suggesting something different or taking other steps?
I’ve been contacting them every week or two and they keep reassuring me that they’re in contact with AIMA, AIMA is aware of the issue and there’s nothing to do but wait.
What worked for me (in a bit different stage - awaiting final approval) was to send a copy of the transaction from your bank (Novobanco in my case) to AIMA via registered post, return receipt requested. That forces AIMA to admit that they acknowledge receipt of proof of payment. The web site still might not be updated (like in my wife’s case), but you have proven to them that fees were paid.
Thanks for the tip, however for those of us at the initial application stage it’s really important that the website update so we can submit applications for dependents.
My application has finally moved to the “Application under analysis” state. So it took AIMA 41 days (September 18 - October 29) to process the payment.
