I think you are misreading this. (But the proof is in the pudding.) There are two paths. The first is permits expiring before July 1, where people will get emails from AIMA mission for going to a new portal. The other is for permits expiring after June 30.
For this announcement, they are saying they have sent out emails to the 2020 crowd to go to this portal, and also saying the 2020 crowd, if they didn’t get the email, they can also go to the portal. So the crowd expiring 1/1/2021 to 6/30/25, we are still on hold.
But it isn’t a special service. It’s a clarification of the status of the first path.
True. It is not special. It is a specific service for expired cards in 2020. What a great show! People live in country more than 5 years with expired cards. Is this specific service going to solve the problem? Based on what they been performing in the last 10 years, chance is slim!
No, it isn’t specific for expired cards in 2020. It is a specific service started a week ago for all expired cards, which they are handling by date of expiration. They are handling first all the 2020 expirations, and we don’t know how many that might be. Heck, I renewed in 2023, so folks with 2020 expirations who never renewed might be dead or gone.
This is a new third page for people with expired permits who can’t get an email, initially for 2020, and once those are dealt with, to be opened for the rest of us.
The first page is for those with renewals after June 30; the second page is for those with expired permits before July 1, which can only be accessed with the email you get; the third page is for those with expired permits outside of the second page process, initially just for 2020.
EDIT: The third page has been opened for 2021 as well. I’m guessing everyone active on this renewed in 2022 or 2023, and anyone left who expired in 2020-2023 is dead, moved, or abandoned.
