Looking at trying out house sitting this year, has anyone done it before? I have a start up and I think it could be a good way to reduce my expenses. Just not sure if its worth it. Any experiences would be good to hear

I haven’t done it myself but looked into it before coming to Spain last year. From the two pages/sites I follow, it seems to me that many of the sits available tend to be for short terms which can be burdensome, especially if you don’t have a vehicle. The ones I looked at were specifically for pet sitting but I think the general gist is the same. I’m sure there are some great long term sits but the great majority I’ve seen to date have been short. I wonder if word of mouth works better? Good luck though, I think it’s a great way to lower costs and I wish I had been able to do it myself.

We house sat for 4 years while DNing and managed to save over 100k doing it and allowed us to pour all our resources into starting our biz
