Holborn 168k "Walkaway Donation" Option

Hello all,

Recently I saw a youtube video by Holborn offering a program where a visa applicant can get a 500,000 euro loan that is then invested in one of the 500,000 euro investment funds qualifying for the Golden Visa program. The applicant would have to prepay interest on the 7 year loan in the amount of 168k euro to the lender in advance before they would fund the loan and make the investment in the investment fund. My understanding is the lender would get the proceeds (including possible benefits/risk of any change in value of that investment fund) at the liquidation of the fund 7 years later, which would be used to pay off the loan.

What do you think about this option? Do you see any issue with this route?

I know that the PGV takes a long time so I don’t want to run into any issue down the road with this option.

It is being advertised as a one payment upfront, but is significantly less than the $250,000 donation programs.

Thank you in advance for your input.

Please use the search function. This has been discussed in another thread.

Does AIMA allow it? What if it takes more than 7 years to get citizenship?

I believe similar schemes with Caribbean CBI have resulted in some investors having their passports initially granted and then later rescinded.
