Malta, economically self-sufficient resident, conditions?

Hello there!
I hope everyone is healthy in this crazy situation that we are atm!
I’m interested to know more about “ECONOMICALLY SELF-SUFFICIENT RESIDENT IN MALTA”!

  1. May a person of my family guarantee for me with a bank statement?
  2. Health insurance must be in Malta or i can have me Albanian one?
  3. Is the rental contact important?
  4. How long will it take from the application till the moment I’ll get the visa?
  5. May i renew it after one year?

Is there any person or does someone know any office that fills the documents in the right way?

Hey there,
I am moving to Malta next week and I plan to apply for an self-sufficient resident visa.

  1. no idea.
  2. I think you need one from Malta. But they are only €20 a month or so to start with.
  3. I think you need a one-year contract. But I hear that sometimes they don’t even check.
  4. As I understand you need to stay there for three months or show intentions of staying for that long. Then it takes 4-8 weeks before you get the Malta ID.
  5. No idea. Will check in one year.
