There is a thread on this (AIMA Appointment --> Did anyone manage to schedule appointment after uploading the documents again), but the short answer is that it is not moving forward as initially suggested. AIMA has moved to prioritizing literally hundreds of thousands of other types of applicants before the GVs. (PGV / ARI Rage, Tragedy, & General Madness - #155 by PTbound). Only one person, to my knowledge, has received an appointment under the new system.
